One of the leading Litvish (non-chassidic) yeshivas in the world, founded 1919 in Ponevezh, Lithuania, and re-established in Bnei Brak in 1944 by Rav Yosef Shlomo Kahaneman. Its main study hall holds a famous gold-plated ark imported from Mantua, Italy.
